I had the opportunity this weekend to work with another really awesome couple. Andrew and Dani were so much fun to work with. They both have really vibrant personalities and took the whole day with a laid back attitude that I'm a little jealous of if I'm being completely honest.
Family portrait time can be a bit tedious. Generally the mom's are the only ones that disagree with me on that. For some reason being either the Mother-of-the-Bride or Mother-of-the-Groom gives you infinite patience for having your photo taken. Perhaps in comparison to all the crap they had to put up with when their children were small this is nothing. Anyway, If the photographer thinks that It's tedious there is approximately 0% chance that kids are going to be able to push through and focus. Occasionally when I get one of these little guys that's having a tough time of it and they don't seem like camera breakers I'll give them an incentive to power through by telling them that if they can make it through the next couple I'll let them take one. I already have the camera set. All they have to do is point and push the shutter. Still, it usually ends up being a photo of just the top of someone's head or just the right side of their face. The Bride's son took the next one and this time it turned out pretty awesome. I was really blown away with the composition. This is ZERO crop guys! How cool is that!
