When I was a brand new photographer I would get really nervous before every shoot. I think I've mentioned that before. It's been a long time though since I've felt those nerves. In a way I sort of miss it. I would get nervous, the shoot would go well, and I would feel so accomplished afterward that I'd done as well as I'd hoped and better than I feared. Although I don't get nervous anymore there are definitely shoots where I know I have to work extra hard to nail it. Drew and AK came from Nashville for their shoot so I knew that if the weather turned wonky on us we couldn't just reschedule for the next weekend. We needed to nail it regardless. It felt a bit like a wedding day in that regard. You only get one shot at it so you better not mess it up :)
The weather was fantastic though and so were Drew and AK. Drew teased before we got started that AK had been studying Pinterest. If he was telling us the truth it totally paid off because the entire shoot with these guys was SO easy. They just kinda did their thing and the laughs and fun just sort of happened. As we walked around the square they pointed out all their favorite spots and told us about the places they hung out in high school. It would've been so easy for us to stay there in the square all evening but we had another spot in mind for the evening too!
We finished up their shoot downtown with shots of the bridge and the river. I honestly think those are some of my favorites. Aleah and I seriously shot until we completely lost the last possible bits of light and only reluctantly stopped then. I think we could've both kept going for awhile.
