This past weekend was our busiest on record. It seemed like we had cameras in our hands from early Friday until we went to bed Monday night. That's an exaggeration of course, but honestly not by that much. We were busy. We kicked off our weekend of shooting with Jared and Nicole which was a great way to start. Jared and Nicole are super fun and great to hang out with. When they arrived at Shelby Farms they hopped out of the car with smiles on their faces and warm hellos. I will tell on them just a little bit and say that they tried to pull one over on me right off the bat. After saying hello Jared pointed down to their feet and said "Look we wore matching shoes just for today" I looked down and indeed they were both wearing all white sneakers. They weren't bad shoes at all, but they definitely stood out against what they were wearing and not necessarily in the best way. In my most excited professional voice I responded with an "Awesome! I'll definitely get a shoe shot for you!" As soon as I said that they both burst out laughing and explained that those were their shoes for nursing school and they were totally kidding. I did my best, but Jared said he saw me flinch when I saw the shoes. They totally got me. (note to self: work on my poker face)
After hanging out in the back of the park for awhile we wanted to change locations and head up to the new Hyde Lake area. Aleah and I haven't had the chance to shoot there since the remodel and were super excited to check it out. We were just a little worried that it was going to be crowded but it was perfect. All except for that part where I can't make the sun stop going down.
