Hey guys! Quick one from us this week. We've been so so busy recovering and tying up loose ends from Sunday that life is starting to to a little bit sideways. Sunday was the day I've been looking forward to since New Year's Eve. I know that's not really a very long time but New Year's Eve is my favorite holiday of the year so it kinda tends to trump everything around it. Sunday was awesome y'all! We met so many brides and grooms and had an absolute blast. Even though it's a ton of work and we were all super exhausted after I'd do it again next week if I could. Not this week though, I need to sit down a little longer first.
This was a record breaking show for us and for Pink Bride. There were so many people there. A couple times we had more folks in our booth than we could talk to at once. I'm really glad we had a place for them to sit down. Honestly I think people liked the couch better than they liked us (just kidding). Renting this guy was probably one of the smarter decisions we made in getting ready for the show. It really just sets the whole booth off. We'll definitely be calling the ladies over at Propcellar the next time we have a marketing event.
This couch (the Sadie couch) has a matching chair. I spotted that chair in another vendor's booth on my way to the bathroom. Sorry I stole your couch guys!
The other thing I have to talk about from our booth is our new table. A few weeks before the show I was perusing photos online for booth inspiration when I came across a photo of a living room setup on a furniture store's website. It was perfect! The vintage inspired sofa, the modern granite table, it just fit. Problem was, the table was $3000. No way that was in the budget but I thought it was cool so I passed my phone around for everyone to see. Dad's response, "We can make that". So, next thing I know dad and I are standing out in the back yard staring at a pile of stone slabs at midnight selecting the perfect one to make a table out of. Yes, I have one of those dads who just might happen to have a stockpile of granite behind the shop. You never know! Anyway fast forward two weeks and we have an amazing table for our booth and nobody spent three grand! I consider that a win any day.
There were so many more things from the show that I want to share with you guys including a super secret project that I've been hiding for months. It's all going to have to wait until next time though. I think I'm going to go take a nap now before the kiddo wakes up from his!
