Oh man. What to even say about this one. When you share a last name with the bride (well I did last week anyway) writing a blog post to sum up your feelings about the day gets infinitely harder. I could sit here and talk about how great of a guy Darrell is; or how when I left town for college Rachel was 14 so part of my brain says she should still be 14. Instead though I'll keep it short and talk about the weather. Partially because it's more comfortable in such a public space and partially because I watched a room full of people obsessively check the weather forecast for a full 24 hours before Darrell and Rachel's indoor ceremony and reception and I'm still not quite sure why. We had our rain plan in place for portrait time. We had plenty of umbrellas to get Rachel from the hotel to the venue without getting wet. We would've been prepared either way but still, we (definitely me too) still checked. Friday was a total monsoon but as Saturday progressed the weather cleared and by the time we were ready for first look with Darrell I was looking for shade. It's all kinda funny to think about now.
It was such a fun weekend but honestly. I'm not totally sure I've fully recovered yet. Enjoy the photos guys!
