Some photographers, no matter how experienced to talented, spend their entire careers getting nervous before every shoot. That's not really true for Aleah and I. Usually, unless we see the potential for something big to go off the rails, we're more just excited than nervous. This shoot was a bit of an exception. Not because we thought Lorann and Kevin wouldn't be good in front of the camera (they definitely were), or the weather wasn't going to cooperate, or anything like that. It was because they travelled in from Knoxville and we knew that if something did happen, the weather unexpectedly turned bad or whatever, we wouldn't get a redo very easily. I was so thankful when I got up Saturday morning to see that we wouldn't have to shoot in the rain or in full sun. It was going to be perfect. We met Kevin and Lorann at Overton Park on Saturday morning and really just about had the place to ourselves. There were a few people here and there but it was so nice and quiet.
We weren't just a little nervous because we wanted everything to go right we were also really excited. We were excited because this was going to be the first time Aleah had met Lorann and the first time either of us had met Kevin. Lorann and I got the chance to chat quickly when she came into town to visit venues but because her planning weekends were so packed we just had to jump on what time was available. That meant Aleah and Kevin didn't get the chance to make it. (sorry guys!) The wait was worth it though because as awesome as Lorann is on her own getting to hang out with her and Kevin was even better. I could probably talk for another 12 paragraphs about how awesome they are, and how much fun they are, and how cute they are together, but instead, since a picture is worth a thousand words I'll just show you. Enjoy!
