I have to be really honest with you. Sometimes blogging is a huge challenge for me. I sit down to write and occasionally the words just flow. I start typing the first sentence and before I even realize it I'm hitting save and the whole thing is done. Most of the time though that isn't the case and one of two things happens. I start to type and find myself struggling because I don't feel like I have anything I can say (if a picture is worth 1000 words and I've included 100 of them what's left really) or in the case of Joel and Allison there's just too much to say. Joel and Allison have been on our wedding calendar for almost 18 months and in that time we've photographed them not once, but TWICE!!! They helped us out with a special project we were working on last summer and totally nailed it! They're the couple in some of my favorite photos. Not because they're amazing posers (they're pretty good at it), not because they're a gorgeous couple (again, they are), but because when they're together, they're together. They work together and move together like a couple that's been married for 20 years already but they're still affectionate like they started dating two weeks ago. It's a photographer's dream :) You might have even seen our post on Instagram yesterday. We were transitioning from portrait time to bridal party but wanted to grab another quick groom's portrait and another quick bridal portrait. Aleah asked Joel to walk over a few feet for a quick portrait but before he could leave Allison (for literally 60 seconds) he had to come back for one more kiss. It was really cute!
You could tell that Joel and Allison's presentness and affection extended beyond each other too! Their day was absolutely full of friends and family that were SO excited for them. I actually worried just a little at their reception that they might exhaust themselves before the end of the night they were having so much fun. A little break here and there though to grab a drink of water and they were good to go.
